For our October class, we’ll be exploring the cocktails of the Prohibition (1920 – 1933). This thirteen-year period where the sale of alcohol became illegal consequentially produced an underground bootlegging empire. The secret hangout of these illegal imbibers was called the “Speakeasy.” Bartenders who had lost their jobs at reputable establishments soon took their talents underground and began producing new cocktails. During the class, we’ll be making a few famous Prohibition era cocktails and exploring the history of this infamous and singular time period. Chef Adam will be making a special meal for the group as well!
